Randy Sheets, 60, of Centerburg, Ohio, is being remembered following a fatal three-vehicle crash in the Village of Marengo that claimed his life on September 7, 2026.

The collision occurred at approximately 7:26 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 229 and Seymour Street, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Sheets was riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide eastbound on State Route 229 when the crash occurred.

According to investigators, 74-year-old Patricia Howard of Marengo was traveling westbound on State Route 229 in a 2014 GMC Yukon. Howard attempted to turn left onto Seymour Street but failed to yield, resulting in a collision with Sheets’ motorcycle.

The impact sent the Harley-Davidson left of center, where it was subsequently struck by a 2015 Ford Escape traveling westbound behind the Yukon. The crash involved three vehicles and prompted an investigation by the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Randy Sheets was pronounced deceased at the scene by Morrow County EMS.
